I love to create. There is nothing better than waking up each day knowing that I get the opportunity to pour myself into creating all day. I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina where clay was everywhere. When I was 6 years old, I started a "bakery" in my friend's basement where we made clay pies, cakes, cookies, and anything else we could make out of the clay we dug up. I've always had my fingers in clay, and I love working with natural, organic mediums. I launched Firelight Pottery on my birthday in 2012. The first year I worked on prototypes, and by December 2013, I applied for my first art market. I fell in love. Being surrounded by artists and makers is such a delightful experience. Firelight Pottery is constantly changing and growing, as all art should, and my goal is to bring beauty and delight to all my customers.
